Mission

Ananda is a global spiritual movement based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda (author of Autobiography of a Yogi), who brought the path of Self-realization to the western world, showing how everyone can realize their Higher Self in their daily lives as a tangible, loving reality, through ancient and effective techniques, including meditation, Kriya Yoga spiritually-oriented Hatha Yoga, community, and divine friendship. Ananda was founded in 1969 by Yogananda’s direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda, who passed away in 2013. Ananda communities and centers in the USA, Europe and India offers a wide range of courses and residential retreats based on the principles of the ancient science of Kriya Yoga and Self-realization.

Contribution

Ananda communities and meditation groups in the USA and Europe will focus the intention of their meditation on the on communion with the earth and support to the policy making processes on the environment, on the 22nd and 23rd September.
